We live in an age that wants instant results. If we don't get what we want now, we are often upset. Ours is an instant coffee, tea, potato, burger type fast food life we live, it is very much a push-button society that is turned off by delays and obstructions. We tend to want our coffee and our answers right now. For a comparison, let's look back at the story of the tortoise and the hare. The hare always stands out as the favorite because he is fast, speedy and sure of himself. He appeals to us because he is a shaker and mover. The turtle, on the other hand, is slow and a plodder, he has no "pizzazz"; in fact he appears to be kind of dull. However, we must always remember the outcome of the race between the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise won the race while the hare never finished. To be a SUCCESS you must do these FIVE things: [1] Get a mental picture of yourself succeeding and then stamp it into your mind so that it can never be erased. Don't settle for just an average life when God all the time is trying to launch you up past the middle right to the TOP!! [2] If a negative thought about your ability ever enters into your mind, very deliberately voice out loud a positive statement you believe about your ability and this will cancel out the negative one. When you refuse to change you will end up in chains! [3] Do not build barriers in your imagination. Cast down every thought you know to be contrary to your God given ability.. You should constantly frustrate tradition with your creativity and imagination. [4] Do not be awe struck or overcome by other peoples abilities or talents. You make the best you possible but a rotten anybody else. Nobody else can be as an efficient you as you can. [5] At least ten times each day repeat these verses;.. Rom 8:31 KJV What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Me!) 1 John 4:4 KJV Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
